WA Centres for Microscopy/Nanoscale Characterisation
ECU is a partner in the WA Centres for Microscopy/Nanoscale Characterisation, which is supported by the WA Government's Centres of Excellence Program, and is a collaboration between The University of Western Australia, Curtin University of Technology and Murdoch University. In 2006, the WA Centres for Microscopy/Nanoscale Characterisation was awarded further WA Government support to form the Nanoscale Characterisatino Centre of WA, NCC(WA), comprising the same four public WA Universities as partners.
These Centres provide specialised, advanced facilities and infrastructure support in imaging and analysis at the micro- and nano-level for unique industry and research applications. Facilities available at the partner institutions include high resolution electron and optical microscopies, multiphoton confocal imaging, ellipsometry, atomic force and scanning tunnelling microscopy, x-ray structural analysis, electron microprobe analysis, and nanoSIMS. Extensive training programs are also provided for users.
