Aided only by a single Powerpoint slide, could you explain your research in an exciting and engaging way in just three minutes?

The ECU 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) final will be held on Tuesday, 18 September 2012 from 4pm to 6pm.

Nine finalists will pitch several years worth of doctoral research in just three minutes to a panel of judges, whose job is to select just one overall winner.

2012 3MT Finalists: 
Mohd Saiyidi Mat Roni - School of Accounting, Finance & Economics 
Anna Urbanowicz - School of Exercise and Health Sciences 
Philip Everall - Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts
Usep Suhud - School of Marketing, Tourism and Leisure 
Favil Singh - School of Exercise and Health Sciences 
Soseh Yekanians - Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts
Gemma Foxall - School of Education 
Maduka Irangi Udunuwara - School of Marketing, Tourism and Leisure
Kitty-Rose Foley - School of Exercise and Health Sciences 

The 3MT winner will receive $2,000 and an all expenses paid trip to Queensland, where they will represent the University in the Trans-Tasman 3MT competition.
