The ECU WAAPA Scholarship is open to Western Australian year 12 school leavers displaying outstanding academic excellence and endeavour. You are encouraged to apply if you are nominating ECU as your first preference of university through TISC, or if you apply directly to ECU for the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) undergraduate bachelor degree courses. You should be able to demonstrate academic excellence and endeavour, leadership and a commitment to ECU's core values of integrity, respect, rational inquiry and personal excellence. The scholarship offers a payment of $2,500 per semester (or pro rata for part time study) for a total of $5,000 per ear for the duration of your course.

The commencement of the ECU WAAPA Scholarship cannot be deferred. Offers are expected to be made in the January of each year and you will be expected to enrol and commence your study in the first semester of that same year of study.
ECU undergraduate courses are generally 3 or 4 years full time study (based on completing 60 credit points per semester) or the equivalent part time. The scholarship's total value is calculated on the duration of the course enrolled in at the time the scholarship offer is made, up to a maximum of $20,000.
If you change units/course during the life of the scholarship, which then extends the completion/ duration of the course, the scholarship will not be extended.
You will need to have a minimum of 75% 'on campus' units, and if you study part-time (minimum 30 credit points) the payments will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis.
Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.
