Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships

Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are internationally competitive, merit-based scholarships provided by the Australian Government that support citizens of the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas to undertake study, research and professional development programs in Australia and for Australians to undertake these programs overseas. The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships program forms part of the Australia Awards initiative established in 2009, which brings together under one banner scholarships offered by the Department of Education (the Department), Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research.

Application closing date: June 2015

Method of application:
Applications for the 2015 Round of the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are now open. Applications will close 30 June 2014 at 11:59 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).

Australian Applicants
The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships offer support to Australians to undertake study, research or professional development abroad.

International Applicants
The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships offer support to non-Australians to undertake study, research or professional development in Australia.


Eligibility requirements

Level of study:

  • VET - Certificate or Diploma courses
  • UG - Undergraduate Bachelor Courses
  • UG HONS - Undergraduate Bachelor Course Honours
  • PG - Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters courses by coursework
  • HDR - Higher Degree Research (including Masters by Research)

As a scholarship or fellowship recipient, you will gain invaluable international experience in study, research or professional development. Australian recipients also receive support to undertake targeted research, professional development or internships overseas. The Department has engaged a contractor to provide post-selection support services to all recipients including: a dedicated case manager; pre-departure briefings; provision of advice on health; travel insurance; accommodation; security; payment of allowances; and reporting to the Department on the recipient's progress.
