Ian McClelland Scholarship

Bendigo Bank invite students who are residing or at school within City of Bayswater and will be attending university for the first time in 2013, to apply for the Ian McClelland Scholarship offered by the Bayswater and Noranda Community Bank Branches. The intention of the scholarship is to assist with study related expenses, accommodation and course materials.

Application opening date: 3 December 2012
Application closing date: 25 January 2013

Payments

Amount: $5000


Eligibility requirements

Eligibility criteria:

  • First year students
  • graduated from secondary school in 2012 or 2011
  • Student must reside/attend school in the City of Bayswater
  • Demonstrate extensive community involvement
  • Full time student

Nationality:

  • Australian citizen
  • Australian permanent resident

Level of Study:

  • UG - Undergraduate bachelor courses

Applicant information:

The scholarship aims to assist local high achieving and highly motivated students experiencing financial and/or social challenges, who have been offered a full time place at an Australian university for the first time.

Selection:

Scholarships will be awarded on the recommendation of a selection committee and will be based on how an applicant addresses the following criteria:

  • Academic achievement
  • Financial and/or social Challenges
  • Evidence of leadership and citizenship within their communities
