National Council of Woman of WA - Science and Technology Bursary
The bursary is made possible by donations from members of the National Council of Women of WA. The National Council of Women of WA is a voluntary organization formed in 1911 to advance the cause of women and the welfare of society. Nominations are called for the 2013 Science & Technology Bursary available to a female student studying a science or technology course in Western Australia at University level.

Payments
Amount:
The cash amount of:
- $1,000.00 will be presented to the overall winner
- $200.00 will be presented to the second place getter
- $100.00 Encouragement Award will also be presented
Frequency: Once only Payment
May be used for:
- Course fees including summer school courses
- Study aids
- Attendance at seminars and/or conferences
Eligibility requirements
Eligibility criteria:
- Female Student
- Enrolled in a science or technology course
- Nominated by lecturer
Applicant information:
In awarding this Bursary NCWWA aims to:
- Recognise academic excellence
- Address financial need
- Encourage study in an area non-traditional for women
- Recognise the extent to which studies will benefit women, families and the wider community
- Nomination form must be accompanied
- by a current Curriculum Vita
- Letter from Nominator
- references
- academic results [including 2012 results]
Selection:
- The bursary winners will be announced in 2013
- The applicant will be notified by mail after that date
- The decision of the award panel will be final
- It is expected that Bursary Recipients will report back to NCWWA on how the bursary has assisted their study
