Graduate Women WA 90th Anniversary Scholarship

The Graduate Women (WA) 90th Anniversary Scholarship will be offered to an ECU female student who is enrolled in a postgraduate research course. The scholarship has been established to assist and encourage female students experiencing financial hardship with activities and items required for their postgraduate research that has been approved by the recipient’s research supervisor.

Payments

Amount: $5,000
Frequency: Once only
Method: Dispersed by School or Centre

Tenure:

  • 1-2 years for a Master by research dependant on course length
  • Up to 3 years for a Doctor of Philosophy (PHD)

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must:

  • be female students
  • be enrolled full-time, on-campus in a Research degree
  • agree to present their research topic at a meeting of the Graduate Women of Western Australia in 2014
  • be in financial hardship

Nationality:

  • Australian citizen
  • Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • Australian permanent resident visa
  • New Zealand citizen

Level of study:

  • Higher degree research (including Masters by Research)

Faculty/School:

  • Any

Study Mode:

  • Full-time on-campus

Applicant information:

Applicants will be required to provide a personal written statement of no more than 250 words as part of their application which describes in brief the following:

  • financial circumstances
  • information on your education thus far
  • an explanation of reasons for undertaking your chosen course of study
  • an explanation of how this scholarship would benefit you
  • an indication of any special circumstances that apply to you or any additional information that you feel is relevant to this application
  • a budget

The selection of recipients will be based on the content of their application and the information provided in statement.
