Planning Welcomes Yolanda

Monday, 22 March 2010

Yolanda Millar has been involved in town planning for twelve years, specialising in strategic and statutory planning, urban design, and telecommunications infrastructure.

Yolanda completed a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Geography, before completing her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She is a mother of two and works part-time as a planner in government, as well as lecturing in planning to students at TAFE and Elected Members at WALGA.

Local government planning has seen Yolanda prepare artistic concept plans for town centres, including drawing streetscapes that enables local government to provide a build form vision to guide potential development. In particular, Yolanda has been heavily involved in preparing innovative design solutions for telecommunications infrastructure that minimises the potential adverse visual impact of these facilities on the amenity of an area.
