Research activity
The Centre for Planning undertakes a wide range of research in urban and regional planning relating to built and natural environments.
We investigate some of the difficult issues where there is a need for integrations when social, economic and environmental issues may have different priorities. The research has a strong focus on ensuring community participation during the planning process.
The Centre works collaboratively with local, state and National Australian Government to provide usable solutions complex planning problems such as:
- water resource allocation and management
- adaptation to climate change
- sustainable transport planning
- resource efficient urban design
