Research activity
Topical research issues as real-life case studies.
The Centre undertakes a wide range of research in urban and regional planning relating to built and natural environments; we investigate some of the difficult planning issues associated with social problems, such as ensuring participation and integration during the planning process.
Two major current projects relate to social monitoring for climate change:
- Policy development in Western Australia.
- Integrated assessment of Watershed Development policies in India, with a comparative assessment of Australian catchment management processes.
Both projects provide excellent real-life practical case studies.
Sustainable use of our natural resources
Hear from Professor Geoff Syme as well as usable solutions for complex planning problems such as:
- water resource allocation and management;
- adaptation to climate change;
- sustainable transport planning; and
- resource efficient urban design.
