Reach your potential with a Cadetship with the Reserve Bank of Australia.

The Cadetship is an excellent opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience of what it is really like to work in a central bank.

The eight-week paid work placement commences late November in Sydney.

As part of the program, cadets will undertake project work, culminating in a research paper which is presented to senior staff, as well as attend information sessions that are designed to provide cadets with a more comprehensive understanding of the role of the Reserve Bank and how they operate.

At the end of the eight week work placement, cadets may be offered a place on the 2012 Graduate Development Program.

This program is looking for people with a high level of intellectual ability and analytical skills, plus a desire for a career that is both challenging and rewarding.

Applications are accepted from 3rd year (or the equivalent) students who are majoring in economics or finance and intend completing honours next year. Applications are also considered from high-calibre students undertaking double degrees, who may not complete honours until the following year.

You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of your application.

Applications close on Sunday 25 July.
