Applications are now open for a range of scholarships on offer to undergraduate students at ECU. Listed below are those that apply to undergraduate Faculty of Business and Law students.

ECU Equity Scholarships

  • Intended to assist students from designated equity groups with the costs associated with University study.
  • Applications are sought from students from low socio-economic backgrounds, Indigenous Australians, people with a disability or ongoing illness, people with significant caring responsibilities and those from rural or regional areas.
  • Valued at $3000 per year for each full time year (or pro rata) of a student's undergraduate course.
Application closing date: 25 February 2011.

City of Joondalup "Focussing on the Future" ECU Award 2011

  • Intended to help lessen the student debt by providing funds to assist with course fees.
  • The Award includes the opportunity to begin a career in a local government department, by completing a paid work placement with the City of Joondalup for up to twelve weeks.
  • Applications are sought from second year students living within the City of Joondalup boundaries, who are studying a relevant course to future employment within local government.
  • Valued at $5000 (paid as tuition fee credit).

Application closing date: 25 February 2011.

ECU Indigenous Scholarships

  • Intended to assist Indigenous Australians with the costs associated with University study.
  • Applications are sought from Indigenous students from low socio-economic backgrounds who may also be dealing with difficulties such as a disability or ongoing illness, significant caring responsibilities, or relocation from rural or regional areas.
  • Valued at $3000 per year for each full-time year (or pro rata) of a student's undergraduate course.

Application closing date: 28 February 2011.

ECU Vice Chancellor's Indigenous Australian Scholarship

  • Intended for Indigenous Australians in their second, third or fourth year of an undergraduate Bachelor course.
  • Applications are sought from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students who have already completed 120 credit points towards their Bachelor’s degree, and who demonstrate leadership and contribution to their community and the University.
  • Valued at $5000 per year for each remaining full-time year (or pro rata) of a student's undergraduate course.

Application closing date: 28 February 2011.

Perth Airport Indigenous Scholarships

  • Intended for first year Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
  • Applications are sought from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who can demonstrate prior academic success as well as personal and educational goals.
  • Valued at $5000 per year for full-time enrolment (or pro rata).

Application closing date: 28 February 2011.

Churchlands Teachers College Memorial Award

  • Intended to support an Honours student studying Business.
  • Applications are sought from Honours students enrolled in a Business course, who can demonstrate academic merit.
  • Applicants must also provide a written statement (1 x A4 page) indicating the purpose, nature and significance of the proposed research area for their Honours program.
  • Valued at $1200.

Application closing date: 25 February 2011.

Executive Deans Honours Scholarship - Faculty of Business and Law (Honours)

  • Intended for Faculty of Business and Law students who are enrolled in an Honours program in the areas of Business (all), Leisure and Justice.
  • Applications are sought from students who have achieved a high level of academic success in their Bachelor’s degree, and who are not in receipt of any other award.
  • Applicants are required to attach a written summary, of no more than 1000 words, indicating the purpose, nature and significance of their proposed research area.
  • Valued at $5000 ($1500 per semester, after each semester census date, and final payment of $2000 on submission of thesis).
