Mr Patrick Chamberlain

Background
Patrick has worked at ECU for 10 years as a Lecturer/Tutor and has also Lectured/tutored at UWA. Previously he worked for 10 years full time with the WA Police Service and took on several roles including that of Intelligence Analyst and as State Statistician for a period of time prior to commencing as a University Lecturer full time.
Patrick’s work for ECU has mainly been in the area of quantitative economics & finance. His lecturing duties include mainly undergraduate units in the fields of Business Statistics, Finance, Quantitative Economics and Finance, Management Science, Quantitative Methods and Superannuation. However he has also lectured to postgraduate students in Quantitative Studies, Principles of Finance and Superannuation.

- Commencing 2011 PhD (Superannuation);
- Currently hold B.Sc (Math/Finance);
- Grad Dip Ed (Tertiary Teaching);
- Dip (Superannuation).
Research
Research interest:
- Self managed superannuation funds and influences on investment strategy decision making choices;
- Educational strategies to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
Current research area:
- Retirement savings strategy choices: style and sophistication.
- Application of action research to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
