Psychological Services Centre

If a psychological issue is affecting your day-to-day life, we may be able to help. We provide high quality, accessible and affordable psychological services. The Edith Cowan University Psychological Services Centre is a modern training facility that provides services to the community. Clinical Psychology Trainees provide current, evidence-based psychological services under the direct supervision of experienced and professionally registered Clinical Psychologists.

What we offer

Our Trainees provide a professional, confidential and caring service to children, adolescents and adults. We ensure that you feel safe, respected, and listened to. We offer psychological services to people experiencing a range of common issues, including:

  • anxiety, depression and emotional issues;
  • stress management and burnout;
  • sleep issues;
  • adjustment to change;
  • loss, grief and bereavement;
  • anger management /assertiveness;
  • psychological management of chronic pain and other health issues;
  • substance use issues;
  • relationship and family issues children’s emotional, social and behavioural issues;
  • parenting issues; and
  • adolescent issues.

We offer psychometric assessments for:

  • children experiencing difficulties with learning at school; and
  • intellectual and cognitive functioning for children and adults.

Centre hours

Appointments are available between 9.00am and 4.30pm (last appointment 3.30pm) Monday to Thursday.

Referrals

Clients may self-refer or be referred by medical professionals, health agencies, schools and other government and community services. All children under the age of 18 accessing the service for a psychometric assessment require a written referral (e.g., Paediatrician, School, and Allied Health Professional)

Fees

The ECU Psychological Services Centre is an affordable service and fees may range from $10 to $30 per session for therapy depending on personal circumstances. The cost for psychometric assessment is $150.

The ECU Health Centre is located at 30 Dundebar Road in Wanneroo, next to the library and close to Wanneroo Central, the local shopping centre.
The bus stop in front of the ECU Health Centre is serviced by Transperth bus lines 389 and 467.
