Have an interest in Fashion? Want to learn how to develop your ideas and harness your creativity? ECU’s Fashion Weekend Workshops are intensive hands-on classes running on Saturdays for five consecutive weeks and registrations are now open!
These workshops provide a practical introduction to ideas development and creative research methods for fashion. Participants will engage in practical workshops in collage, drawing, material manipulation and print and construction processes for garment.
This program is taught by Masters Graduate Kim Pace in the newly refurbished fashion studios at ECU Mount Lawley. Fashion Coordinator Justine McKnight says, “Kim has wealth of knowledge and experience to offer participants of this course, she is continually making and exhibiting her work and shares her strengths in visual research, collage and construction with enthusiasm.”
Some of ECU’s most successful Fashion graduates completed these workshops before joining us to study in the Bachelor of Contemporary Arts course. Justine added that, “Participants of this course leave really inspired and excited about what they’ll get to do when studying as an undergraduate Fashion student. This early introduction provides added clarity for prospective students and can help to set you up for successful work in the industry in the future.”
