The next non-residential writing retreat will be held on Monday, 21 November - Wednesday, 23 November 2016, at Wollaston Centre, Mount Claremont and will focus on mixing quiet writing time with collegial discussion of both our work-in-progress and aspects of the writing process.
Dr Sally Knowles, one of our Research Development Advisors, will facilitate the retreat. Sally will organise work-in-progress sessions and is available for individual consultations. As noted above, the purpose of the retreat is to provide staff with a quiet, focused environment and professional support in order to complete a significant piece of writing for publication/ submission. To achieve this, you will need to have thought about what you want to write and have done most of the preliminary reading and research.
We are seeking applications for a limited number of places at the retreat. We will give preference to those who are able to attend on all days and who are ready to complete a significant piece of writing for publication/submission that will count as ERA listed publications. This could be:
Applications will also be considered for PhD supervisors who want to write and co author peer-reviewed publications with their students.
