CREATEC has organised two non-residential Research Intensive Writing Retreats for all CREATEC and School of Arts and Humanities researchers at Wollaston Conference Centre, Mount Claremont, with the clear aim to increase research productivity through grant writing and peer-reviewed publications.
The three-day non-residential retreats will mix quiet writing time with collegial discussion of both our work-in-progress and aspects of the writing process.
Dr Sally Knowles, one of our Research Development Advisors, will facilitate the retreat. Sally will organise work-in-progress sessions and is available for individual consultations. As noted above, the purpose of the retreat is to provide staff with a quiet, focused environment and professional support in order to complete a significant piece of writing for publication/ submission. To achieve this, you will need to have thought about what you want to write and have done most of the preliminary reading and research.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided on each day.
We are seeking applications for a limited number of places at the retreat. We will give preference to those who are able to attend on all days and who are ready to complete a significant piece of writing for publication/submission that will count as ERA listed publications. This could be:
Applications will also be considered for PhD supervisors who want to write and co author peer-reviewed publications with their students.
Date: Tuesday, 26 - Thursday, 28 September 2017
Time: 8.45am - 5.00pm
Venue: Wollaston Conference Centre, Mount Claremont
