Overview

ECU Galleries

ECU Galleries are committed to building diverse audiences, accessibility and developing a community of practice. Arts led research is also a priority.

The galleries:

  • are committed to highlighting cultural stories, to presenting exhibitions and events that are relevant to the student population and experience,

The galleries provide:

  • premier exhibition space, featuring doctoral candidates, emerging/early/mid/established-career artists and curators, and the ECU Art Collection,
  • a site for risk and speculation where the process of creativity is as important as the outcome,
  • an engaged and inspiring program of contemporary exhibitions,
  • a laboratory for exploration and experimentation with an inclusive approach to creativity, and

Echoing his experimental music practice, the photographs, quiet and contemplative, invite a free-fall into the viewer’s imagination.
