ECU’s premier fashion show is fast approaching! 14 young Contemporary Fashion graduate students will present their work to the public in exhibition and on live models at the eighth annual graduate event – SHIFT.
This exciting event marks the end of our 2015 graduate exhibition Transit Lounge, and takes place in ECU Mount Lawley’s specialised Spectrum Project Space on Friday, 11 December 2015 at 7.00pm.
Themes such as fluidity and the sea, architecture and the body, emotive darkness, freak shows and circus of the 19th century and the decay process were drawn on by students to create a collection of garments that will be both paraded and on display in the project space.
The parade will be accompanied by specific sound tracks selected by the students and manipulated by local musician Jake Steele.
The student’s ideas and garments will also be shown in the exhibition as photographs, artwork and video pieces. As is typical with ECU Contemporary Fashion events, the public are invited to move through the space and consider the static works as the models pass by.
Scene Model Management have again supported the show.
SHIFT will remain open to the public from Saturday, 12 December until Thursday, 17 December 2015 at Spectrum Project Space, Mount Lawley Campus, Edith Cowan University.
