Engaging with our Partners

The School of Business and Law values engagement with industry, government and the community through a variety of initiatives and activities. This enables the School to build and maintain long-lasting relationships and collaboration opportunities with our partners. Some key engagement opportunities include:

Dr Jalleh Sharafizad

The School of Business and Law and the Wanneroo Business Association (WBA) continue to strengthen their partnership with ECU Management lecturer, Dr Jalleh Sharafizad, elected as a WBA Board Member.

Professor Fang Zhao

Joondalup Business Association (JBA) elected Board Member Professor Fang Zhao has a strong research focus on Digital Entrepreneurship and Smart Cities. She regularly works with JBA members in the exploration of business opportunities with the Chinese Market.

Professor Maryam Omari

Serving on the Board of the International Association on Workplace Bullying and Harassment (IAWBH) allows Executive Dean Professor Maryam Omari to raise community awareness while sharing her expertise in ‘dignity and respect at work’.

Professor Sam Huang

Professor Sam Huang was invited by the WA Tourism Minister to join the newly established Tourism Think Tank. Professor Huang joins the Tourism Minister along with representatives from Murdoch University, Curtin University, and senior executives from Tourism Western Australia in discussing issues facing the WA tourism industry.

Associate Professor Hadrian G. Djajadikerta

Associate Professor Hadrian Djajadikerta currently serves as the Vice President on the board of the Indonesia Institute.  The Western Australian based NGO works to actively promote Indonesia-Australia relations both in the state, nationally and in Indonesia.

Mr Krishna Prasad

ECU School of Business and Law, Associate Dean Law and Director International, Mr Krishna Prasad has been appointed to the Office of Justice of the Peace for the State of Western Australia. His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council approved and appointed Mr Prasad to the Office in July, 2018. Justice of the Peace appointees are nominated by State Member of Parliament and must be Australian citizens of good character and reputation, including a record of community service.
