For the second year in a row marketing students from the School of Business and Law have won the On My Feet Social Enterprise Challenge, raising over $5000 for the program.

Out of the 32 teams, including participants from South Australia, the ECU teams won the awards for Most Socks Sold and Most Revenue Raised at the awards ceremony at Macquarie Bank.

The money raised by ECU’s students equates to getting 25 homeless people back on their feet.

Congratulations to team members Jobe MacShane, Madeleine Johnson, Georgia Brodie, Jasmine Clubb, Samantha Angelico-Henderson, Sinead Donovan, Megan Tighe, Myat Wut Yee and Lexi Giannopoulos as well as Lecturer Dr Stephanie Meek for coordinating ECU’s teams.

On My Feet is an organisation which gives people dealing with or at risk of homelessness a hand up rather than a hand out. To find out more, visit the On My Feet website.
