School of Business and Law hosts SCRAM final

Monday, 25 September 2017

Congratulations to Perth College (Grand Final Winners) and Christ Church Grammar School (Grand Final Runner up) placing in the grand final of the SCRAM 2017 Competition hosted by the School of Business and Law.

SCRAM is an interactive mediation competition, which develops conflict resolution skills for students in Year 9 and Year 10. A team of 6-10 students are given background information on a problem and the student mediators lead the disrupting parties through the mediation process in an effort to find a solution that all can accept.

Judges included representatives from the Federal Court of Australia, District Court of Western Australia, the School of Business and Law, as well as friends and family of the students.
Margaret Dixon, Convener of WADRA-SCRAM says the event was a fantastic learning experience for students.

“SCRAM provides a learning opportunity for our students. Many of them consider a law career now because of the positive experiences they obtained while participating in SCRAM.”

“As a student who participated in SCRAM in 2014, now studying law, SCRAM had a really big impact on my life and study choices.”

The School were delighted to host this event and welcome students, teachers and parents to our brand new Moot Court.
