Congratulations to Dr Edmund Goh on being elected into the Executive Committee as Secretary of The Council for Australia Universities of Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE).

Dr Goh was nominated and voted in by the Board of Directors, in recognition of his contribution to Hospitality and Tourism Higher Education internationally and his commitment to serve the CAUTHE academic and industry community in pursuit of excellence.

Dr Goh sees this as an exciting leadership opportunity to raise the profile of the School of Business and Law through CAUTHE associations to improve awareness of Tourism, Hospitality and Events (THE) on the political and public agendas.

This opportunity will also provide a forum for increased interaction between the School of Business and Law and researchers in Australia and New Zealand, establishing links with these associations.

Dr Goh takes over as Secretary of CAUTHE from Associate Professor Dale Sanders, also from ECU’s School of Business and Law.

CAUTHE is a council established to represent the interests of higher education providers of bachelor degree level and above in tourism, hospitality and events education. It is also the uniting scholarly association for Australia and New Zealand tourism, hospitality and events, which provides leadership, engagement and support for academics.
