Biography
Richard has over twenty years of specialised experience managing complex government programs and projects. As a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (MAIPM) and a Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM), Richard maintains a connection with current industry trends and practices. His professional insights are enhanced through his active involvement in the International Centre for Complex Project Management (MICCPM) and the Project Management Institute. Richard's research addresses contemporary challenges in project management. He blends theoretical frameworks with practical applications, focusing on three critical areas:
(1) The strategic management of intricate and large-scale programs and projects.
(2) The development of sustainable project management practices, with an emphasis on integrating environmental and social considerations in government initiatives.
(3) Investigating modern slavery within projects and project supply chains and ethical practices in project management.
As an experienced academic tutor and mentor, Richard enriches his teaching with his current research and brings these to his postgraduate agile project and program management students.
