Wren magazine - call for student contributors
Monday, 18 April 2011
Wren is a new corybantic student magazine based at Edith Cowan University and would like to get students to share and publish their works, ideas and art. We are looking to publish six times a year (start, middle and end of semester) and would like to fill 30 pages (cover to back) with solely student composed work.
Wren is currently looking for contributors, writers, columnists, reviewers, photographers, and artists and goodie grabbers and an advertising sales crew.
We are looking to establish a dedicated team body, we won’t be able to give you more than the greatness of being publish and getting your work out there and enabling you to diversify your portfolio (away from seriousness: issue launch parties, meeting new sweet people & so much more).
Any one can apply for any position. Any one can apply for any position.
This call out ends 9th May 2011.
The name wren was chosen from the Brother Grimm’s tale “The King of Birds”, where the little bird without a name (= wren) is able to, through cunning tactics, outsmart all the other larger and greater birds, much to their dismay which causes them forever to mock the wren.
