Funny Flicks to screen at Rottofest 2011 announced

Proudly supported by Screenwest, Lotterywest & Keep Australia Beautiful, Search for Australia’s Funniest Filmmakers is an exciting national film competition that provides emerging comedy filmmakers with a platform for the production and presentation of short form comedy.
Search for Australia’s Funniest Filmmakers will be screening comedies in two categories:
1. Comedy Skits (up to 3 minutes in length).Prize for Funniest Comedy Skit: $500.00
2. Comedy Short Films (between 3 and 15 minutes in length).Prize for Funniest Short Film: $1500.00

“This year’s call for films has provided us with the highest quality level of entrants since Rottofest began in 2009. More excitingly, we have an extremely strong representation of local content which is a clear sign that there is a comedy revolution going on here in WA filmmaking” states Festival Director Ronan Freeburn.
