The Pregnant Darkness
The Pregnant Darkness is a joint exhibition by Rachel Hogermeer and Rebecca Atkinson, involving printmaking, painting and installation, exploring processes or times of darkness, decay, and death in life, the psyche and nature.
Often looked upon as negative and destructive, the artists explore these notions as positive, necessary predecessors, transcending new life, transformation, or a ‘re-birth’.
The Pregnant Darkness will be opened by Paul Uhlmann at 6.30pm, Friday, 11 May.
The exhibition runs from the 11th to the 25th of May, 2012 and the opening hours are Tuesday to Friday between 10am to 6pm, Saturday’s 12pm to 5pm.
