HD Magazine

The Business Journalism and Vector Illustration classes of 2010 collaborated to produce the inaugural HD Magazine, published in December 2010.

The experiment paved the way for future publications, with issue 2 released in July 2011, and given high distinction students a chance to showcase their work. It has also given students an opportunity to take part in the publication process from start to finish.

The aim of the research is to:

• create an ongoing, bi-annual, professional news publication as a collaboration between journalism and design students; and
• examine and evaluate the scope for illustration in a news image context.
