The eHealth Research Group builds on the strong academic and research qualifications in the area of e-health informatics. The eHealth Research Group’s strategic priority is to investigate how e-health can support improvement in clinical outcomes, improvement and sustainability in healthcare delivery, in Australia using an interdisciplinary approach. This focuses on transforming research into practical solutions and investigating the impact of new technologies on healthcare and its processes. As such e-health encompasses computing, informatics, management and clinical disciplines, and brings together a diverse range of expertise from across the School, Faculty and University. The major research themes encompass many facets of eHealth including eHealth Informatics, eHealth Security, Mobile eHealth (mHealth), Indigenous eHealth and eHealth Education.
The Group applies academic innovation to solve real-world problems and to address health and health information concerns. The group offers a research environment for members’ to foster collaboration and access a collegial support network, nationally and internationally, whilst engaging in collaboration across universities, the healthcare sector, government and industry.
