The 1902 Education Society now offers a unique Mentoring Program specifically for Education students.
First year students will have access to the support of peer mentors, who will be drawn from a pool of capable, friendly and approachable second, third and fourth year teaching students. Mentors can assist with the transition to university life, and offer tips and tricks on succeeding and accessing useful support at ECU.
In turn, peer mentors will be connected with an ECU Alumni mentor – an experienced teacher who can provide mentoring support, advice and guidance to prepare pre-service teachers for their first years of teaching.
This innovative, three-step approach to mentoring offers meaningful engagement and fosters strong networks and career development for all participants.
