Accreditations and alliances

Our strong history of collaboration with the education community has resulted in our School being recognised as a leader in partnerships on a local, national and international level.

Through meaningful engagement and the sharing of expertise, stakeholders develop mutually beneficial relationships which seek innovative ways of addressing educational challenges and needs.

As the largest provider of teacher education in WA, our School of Education has ongoing relationships and established partnerships with approximately 500 schools. Pre-service teachers are seen as a resource in the schools and mentor teachers are recognised as experienced professionals who are supported by the University to guide pre-service teachers on their learning journey, monitoring their development and assessing their achievement.

Each of these partnerships varies in the scope and nature of activities, depending on the individual school’s needs, preferences and staff expertise. In essence, each partnership provides an exciting potential to negotiate a relationship which extends well beyond professional practice placements and moves towards the development of a rich and authentic learning community.
