Transformational games: A way to engage adolescents in Health, Science and Technologies education

Are you interested in the opportunity to experience and learn about the educational benefits of transformational games?

ECU`s School of Education is offering free professional learning for teachers. We are inviting year 7-10 Health and Physical Education, Design and Technology and Science teachers to a free 3 and a half hour professional learning workshop on design and use of transformational games in education.

What’s involved

  • ECU experts will outline latest research on game design and benefits for the classroom
  • Teachers will play and review transformational games
  • Teachers will workshop ideas generated by students for a nutrition game aligned with curriculum outcomes
  • Teachers will develop lesson plans to accompany the game.
