CSaLT, the Centre for Schooling and Learning Technologies, is situated in the School of Education. We are a Level II Research Centre that aims to improve learning outcomes in schools through the use of information and communications technology. By initiating and participating in research activities that support the development of teaching, CSaLT works directly with schools to improve schooling practises with the aided use of ICT to support learning, to pave the way towards a better future for generations to come.

CSaLT undertakes a number of projects that involve engagement with the education community to enhance better learning practices and promote teaching. Pinch-o-SaLT Program
CSaLT has commenced a professional learning program of weekly demonstrations and help sessions for School of Education staff.

Teaching teachers for the future
CSaLT is managing the University's involvement with a national project that involves all institutions with pre-service teacher education.

Review of CSaLT
Towards the end of 2010 a five-year review of the Centre was conducted and from that an action plan has been developed and endorsed by the Academic Board of the University.
