Education Research at ECU: Engaging Minds, Engaging Communities

Wednesday, 17 August 2016

Join us to learn about the extensive program of education research at ECU and how you can become involved. Following an opening address by the Commissioner for Children and Young People WA, our research institute and centre directors will showcase the work being conducted in the priority areas of STEM education, literacy, learning technologies and early childhood education. Presenters will highlight the opportunities for collaboration and capacity building in schools and communities. Stay afterwards (6.00 - 7.00pm) for a light supper and networking, and take the opportunity to visit Journey out into the universe - an exhibition of images of stars and galaxies taken by school students as part of an innovative astronomy education program.

If you are considering enrolling in a PhD or Masters of Education by Research, the event is a great opportunity to meet with our staff and current postgraduate students in an informal setting, and also learn about the research conducted in other areas of education (e.g. visual arts, drama, behaviour management, educational games, health and physical education, teacher professional learning, etc.).

Please download the Education Research at ECU brochure to access information about our major research centres and some of the research and evaluation projects recently conducted, or in progress, by our staff and postgraduate students.
