Welcome to the Edith Cowan Institute for Education Research situated in the School of Education for the Faculty of Education and Arts.
Continuing Edith Dircksey Cowan's contribution to education and Australian society, the Institute's mission is to conduct education research that has high social and educational impacts.
The institute has numerous active research projects over a diverse range of topics. Projects vary from the small, short-term, internally funded projects of individual early career researchers to large, long term, externally funded projects by teams of experienced researchers.
Our current research projects include;
When you were in school, did you think your teachers had eyes in the backs of their heads? Now using the latest video technology the next generation of teachers are being trained to see to see the whole classroom.
Singing, balancing, jumping and skipping are all part of a cutting-edge movement program that is helping teach children to read and write.
Presented by the Edith Cowan Institute for Education Research in association with the FLC and CSaLT; The program for this semester’s Research Seminars is now available.
