This project supported teachers as they worked to improve the writing of students in Years 3 to 9. It was aimed at building teacher knowledge about the dimensions of essential knowledge required by writers in order to further develop their writing. Teachers were provided with staged assessment processes and specific teaching strategies that allowed them to identify the writing needs of their students. An ECU collaborative grant and the Association of Independent Schools in WA funded this project.
