Engaging Aboriginal children and their teachers with science

This project investigated the potential of Scitech's Aboriginal Education Program to create rich opportunities for learning, generate positive attitudes towards school and science, and enhance teachers' confidence and self-efficacy for teaching science. Research findings did inform the design of effective outreach programs that targeted rural and remote schools with high Aboriginal enrolments. Funding support was provided by Scitech Discovery Centre and an ECU Industry Collaboration grant.
