Chris is Head of the School of Education in the Faculty of Education and Arts.

Background

Chris currently holds the position of Head of School (Education) at Edith Cowan University. Previous roles have included Dean of Teaching and Learning and Head of School for Regional Remote and e-Learning. In these roles Chris has been a driver of significant change in teaching and learning including face to face, online and blended learning settings. He has led research projects that explore quality teaching in classroom settings, in-service teacher professional growth and community development in online settings. Current research interest include effective pre-service teacher training and graduate competencies.

Chris has received several research awards including the Faculty Research Medal (Edith Cowan University), the Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia award for Excellence in a Thesis and Best Paper awarded by the World Conference on Educational Multimedia, Hypermedia & Telecommunications.
