Centre for Communications Engineering Research
The Centre for Communications Engineering Research (CCER) conducts high quality research in the fields of optical, wireless, and multimedia communications. Our centre has particular interest in applied research areas such as voice and video over IP, wireless sensor networks with applications in environmental monitoring, smart energy systems, sensors and devices, frequency selective surfaces, throughput enhancement for broadband networking, 2D barcodes, and structural health monitoring.
Research themes
We aim to conduct applied engineering research in the area of communications and networking technology that has high impact on the community. Research strengths of CCER include quality of service in optical and wireless networks, design of survivable networks, wireless sensor networks for environmental monitoring, signal and image processing, multimedia communications, smart grid systems, sensors and devices, frequency selective surfaces, and structural health monitoring.
