Literature review of best practice in performance-based education

This project reviewed current empirical and descriptive literatures as well as the grey literature to determine the existing evidence-base for performance based education in schools. Specifically the literature review described the current evidence base to support the approach of Constable Care; other performance-based education programs in schools and their effectiveness including the resources used to support pre-post play implementation. It also described the intervention and development theories which support performance-based education programs in schools and explored other performance based education models which hold promise for enhanced educational outcomes of young people (eg: ‘Forum Theatre’).
