Background

Martin has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science from La Trobe University in Victoria, and has been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. Martin joined the School of Law and Justice at Edith Cowan University in 2008, initially on a sessional basis whilst still practicing law full time, and has been lecturing full time since 2011.

Martin has practice experience in commercial insurance, family law (private and community), and also in government policy. Martin also has a research interest in the law of torts, specifically in relation to negligence, and is currently a PhD candidate at the Queensland University of Technology.
