The Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) Leadership conference was held at the Burswood Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday 8 September 2010, which was supported by the Faculty of Business and Law at ECU.

The conference presented research, case studies and the latest thinking in people management through innovative delivery, provoking strategy and providing innovative solutions to both current and future HR challenges.

The Faculty and AHRI have forged a supportive relationship, which is strengthened by ECU’s involvement and participation with such events.

“All our Human Resource Management by coursework courses are accredited by AHRI” said Professor Rowena Barrett, Head of School of Management.

“This acknowledges our internal quality assurance processes, our stakeholder input in course developments, and our desire to continuously develop and improve.

“Accreditation also acknowledges that AHRI believes we are equipping our students with the outcomes needed to become effective Human Resource Management professionals”.

AHRI is the national association representing human resource and people management professionals, with more than 14,000 members nationwide. The entity leads the direction and fosters the growth of the HR profession through actively setting standards and building the capability of the profession.
