The School of Management invites you to a research presentation:

The role of network and innovation asset configurations and coherence in SME internationalisation strategy.

Presented by Associate Professor Susan Freeman from the University of Adelaide, Visiting Fellow to the School of Management.

Professor Freeman is the Discipline Leader for International Business in the Adelaide Business School, Faculty of the Professions, University of Adelaide. She is also the Director of the International Business Research Group (IBRG); and the Program Director - Master of International Business (MIB). Professor Freeman has an extensive and impressive track record in research and teaching in the International Business discipline. 

She has supervised six PhDs, two Masters and 15 Honours students and currently supervises eight PhD students in International Business, Management and Marketing disciplines in the areas of early accelerated internationalising smaller firms; cross border international management; foreign direct investment; entrepreneurship; international buyer-seller relationships; emerging markets; and cultural sensitivity. She has received a number of competitive research grants including the European Union.

Professor Freeman's presentation will focus on work she is doing on born-locals and traditional SMEs in terms of their globalisation strategy. She looks forward to meeting PhD students, staff and the wider business community with similar international business interests. All are warmly welcome to attend.
