Construction induction training value to respondents
Determining the effectiveness of mandatory construction safety awareness training in Western Australia
This 2010-2011 study reviewing mandatory pre-site safety training in the construction industry in WA found that the construction sector values the Construction Induction Training. Participants were supportive of the mandatory nature of the training and believed that it had not only increased their personal safety awareness but had contributed to a positive improvement in the safety culture on construction worksites.

Research methods
The study, used a mixed mode data collection within an action learning methodology, focussed on collecting industry perceptions of the value and effectiveness of the training, the associated relevance of the training and the subsequent workplace impact.
