Administration Support Volunteers needed for CHOGM

10 positions available, running from April to November 2011.

Volunteering WA (VWA) has approached ECU’s Faculty of Business and Law in their pursuit of capable Administration Support Volunteers for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2011.

CHOGM is held every two years, bringing commonwealth leaders together to discuss global and Commonwealth issues, and to agree on collective policies and initiatives. The next event will be held from 28 to 30 October 2011, in Perth.

Administration Support Volunteers will assist before, during and after the event, from April to November 2011. They will perform a variety of administrative tasks, and also be involved in the recruitment and training of other volunteers for the event.

The position is based in West Perth, and applicants must be able to dedicate a minimum of one shift per week to the position. Each shift is four hours, with the opportunity to volunteer up to three times per week. If selected, applicants will also have the chance to become Volunteer Team Leaders during the event.

Faculty of Business and Law students are strongly encouraged to get involved with this extraordinary opportunity.
