Tourism professor receives humanitarian award

An Adjunct Professor from the School of Marketing, Tourism and Leisure is the recipient of the 2012 World Leisure Organisation’s Cornelius Westland Humanitarian Award.
The awarding organisation felt that Professor Lobo had the same credentials as Cornelius Westland, whom the award is named after.
Cornelius Westland served as Secretary General of the World Leisure Organisation from 1984 to 1996 and influenced many through his leadership in the leisure movement.
Professor Lobo will be presented with his award at the 2012 World Leisure Congress and Leisure Games in Rimini, Italy on Sunday, 30 September2012.
