Background
In 2011, Alicia took up a full-time lecturing position at Edith Cowan University in the School of Marketing, Tourism and Leisure. Previous to this, Alicia completed her PhD in Business Management at the University of South Australia, whilst teaching across several courses in the School of Management and School of Health Sciences.

Current research area
- Self-esteem development of adolescent females engaged in sport and recreation;
- Career progression of intending professional dancers;
- Psychological contract, loyal boosterism behaviour and personality profiling of intending professional dancers;
- CaLD project – services and inclusion for CaLD communities in sport and recreation; and
- The influence of personality traits on attitudes and behaviours in various contexts.
