Background
Dr. Iris Mao joined Edith Cowan University as a lecturer in 2008. She was awarded both PhD and MSc (Distinction) degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has experience as a researcher, consultant, and manager in hotel and tourism fields. She has taught a wide range of tourism and hospitality management units in Australia and Hong Kong. Her research expertise includes destination image building, tourist’s behaviour, tourism marketing and research methods. Most recently she is also interested in tourism rehabilitation, tourism education and special interest tourism. At the moment she is recruiting Honours and PhD students in tourism and hospitality research.
