Inaugural Master of Nutrition and Dietetics Newsletter

The Master of Nutrition and Dietetics course at ECU is a pathway to the profession of dietetics. Students are trained to understand and interpret nutrition science, assess nutritional needs, conduct research, and give dietary advice for general health and specialised requirements, including medical conditions and improved performance.

The Masters newsletter will keep students and the broader community informed with the latest news and events in the program.

The July 2017 edition features:

  • A collaborative project to develop an innovative food relief mobile app by a recent graduate
  • A student’s experience of a rural placement in dietetics
  • Profile of Sport Dietitians Australia (SDA), the peak professional body for dietitians specialising in sports nutrition
  • Review of nutrition in the media, including a topical podcast on sugar tax
  • A healthy recipe developed by dietetic students
