Trachoma treatment on-line training

The purpose of this module is to train rural and remote nurses in Western Australia to provide treatment for trachoma in accordance with the operational policies of the Department of Health Western Australia.

A free on-line training package was developed that consists of 4 short modules and an examination at the completion of the modules. The training package has endorsement from the Australian College of Nursing.

The launch of the Trachoma treatment website is awaiting WA endorsement of the Series of National Guideline (SoNG) on the management of trachoma developed by the Communicable Disease Network Australia.
