The Centre for Ecosystem Management provides a number of opportunities to support research.
Visiting research fellows
The centre has funds available to support visiting research fellows. Visiting fellow applications need to be supported by at least one centre member. Conditions of funding and application requirements and assessment are available from the centre Director or Secretary.
Postgraduate and honours study
The centre promotes an integrative approach to ecosystem management, recognising the roles of research, consultation and education in analysing and resolving environmental problems. The School of Natural Sciences has an exciting postgraduate program offering degrees in Biological Science and Environmental Management. All postgraduates within the school are associate members of the centre. Our student-to-supervisor ratios are low, meaning our postgraduate students have a closer working relationship with their supervisor, as well there is a tight-knit community of postgraduate students. We also have close links with other universities and research organisations around the country, providing a wide range of options for collaborative research programs.
Postdoctoral research fellows
The centre has funds available to support postdoctoral research fellows. Conditions of funding and application requirements and assessment are available from the centre Director or Administrative Support Officer.
Collaborative research potential
The centre collaborates on a wide variety of research projects and our members’ research interests can be found on their personal web pages.
